In a world that often seems overwhelming, it’s essential to remember that you are relentlessly loved by God. His love is not conditional nor based on your actions—it’s an unwavering truth that remains constant, even when we stray from the path. The parable from Matthew 18 beautifully illustrates this:

“What do you think? If a man has a hundred sheep, and one of them has gone astray, does he not leave the ninety-nine on the mountains and go in search of the one that went astray? And if he finds it, truly, I say to you, he rejoices over it more than over the ninety-nine that never went astray. So it is not the will of my Father who is in heaven that one of these little ones should perish.”

Matthew 18:12-14, English Standard Version

This act of pursuit demonstrates what it truly means to be relentlessly loved; it signifies that no matter how lost we feel, God will go to great lengths to bring us back into the fold.

Imagine yourself in the shoes of that lost sheep, perhaps feeling alone, discouraged, or unworthy. It’s easy to feel you have strayed too far to return. However, just as the shepherd joyously embraces the lamb upon finding it, your heavenly Father waits with open arms, ready to celebrate your return. His infectious joy echoes through the heavens as He declares, “You are my beloved.” In the same way that parents worry incessantly for their lost child, God is relentless in His pursuit of you, wanting nothing more than to welcome you back home.

Remember, no matter where you are or how far you feel you’ve gone, God’s relentlessly loves you. It is a powerful force that will chase you down, reassure you, and ultimately lead you back to a place of peace, belonging, and joy. God relentlessly loves, and you will always have a home in the His heart. Let this love fill your spirit today.

Father God, thank You for never, ever giving up on me. I want desperately to believe that You love me with an everlasting love. Help my unbelief. Show me beyond a shadow of a doubt through Your Word and through Your people how much You love me every day. I ask this in the precious name of Jesus. Amen.
