The Bible describes believers as “sealed” by the Holy Spirit, a metaphor for being chosen and claimed by God. You are God’s own. Ephesians 4:30 says:
“And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.”

Imagine a permanent mark on your heart, a symbol of ownership and love. This signifies a deep connection with God, a sense of belonging unlike any other.
Unlike branded livestock, you chose this relationship. You entered God’s loving embrace, becoming part of His flock, one of God’s own children. This brand isn’t a burden, but a mark of immense privilege.
The Bible compares it to a permanent agreement, a pact. When you accept Jesus, the Holy Spirit seals you for redemption, a future transformation into a glorious new body.
In Philippians 3:20-21, we read: “But our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform our lowly bodies to be like His glorious body…”
God’s patience is unwavering, and He waits for all to come to Him.
As 2 Peter 3:9 reminds us: “The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead, He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.”
As someone branded as God’s own, how will you reflect His love in the world? Live a life worthy of this incredible gift. Thank Him for choosing you and pray for wisdom to live as His child, forever marked by His love.
Lord, I come before You today in humble thanksgiving and praise. Thank You, Lord, for making me Your own. I am honored to bear Your seal of approval, even though I have done nothing to deserve it. Holy God, I pray for wisdom and insight as I learn more about what it means to be set apart for You. I ask that You continue to brand me as Your own. For I want nothing more than to be Your child—conformed to Your likeness each and every day. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
