Whether you’re feeling vulnerable emotionally, physically, or spiritually, God is right there to give you protection. Let’s pray a one-minute prayer for protection together today to help guard your mind and your heart.
Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most HighPsalm 91:1-2
will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress,
my God, in whom I trust.”
Father God, you are my refuge. I come to you right now feeling vulnerable and anxious about the things going on around me. I know you are my shelter and my strength. Help me to grab ahold of that truth and believe it deep down in my soul.
I don’t want to live afraid. Not of people, not of situations, not of the evil in the world. Would you guard my heart and my mind. Help me to focus on you and on those things which are pure and good and peaceful.
I know I have to live in this world, but you have promised to give me peace while I’m here, and I know that peace comes with your presence. Remind me every minute of every day to keep my eyes on you and to trust in you.
Remind me that you know my future, that you are working all things together for my good, and that you will not let anything snatch. me out of your hand. Your Word says, “In God, whose word I praise, in the Lord, whose word I praise—in God I trust and am not afraid. What can man do to me?”
When fear creeps in, help me not to set up shop in my heart. Fill me with your presence so that there is no room for fear to live. I pray these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus. Amen.
