These days countless voices and opinions bombard us all the time. However, as followers of Christ, it is crucial to be intentional in choosing who you listen to. The influence of others can greatly impact your faith journey. Matthew 18:6 issues a warning for anyone who leads astray one of God’s beloved children. It emphasizes the severe consequences for such actions.
“But if you cause one of these little ones who trusts in me to fall into sin, it would be better for you to have a large millstone tied around your neck and be drowned in the depths of the sea.”

This verse highlights the need to guard our hearts and minds, seeking divine wisdom to navigate relationships, especially in today’s world filled with media and information overload.
God expects us to have pure hearts, and like King Solomon’s request for wisdom to discern between good and evil, we must rely on God’s guidance to trust others. Dear Lord, please give me the wisdom to shut out anything that’s not good for me. Guide me into safe and healthy relationships with people who will encourage me with loving kindness. Protect me from the hurtful words and plans of others that would seek to ensnare me in their sin. Thank You for the ability to hear Your voice guiding me into Your loving arms of grace. Amen
